Daniel Lightfoot is the Audio Visual Services Manager for the Plemmons Student Union. Daniel trains and manages a team of student AV technicians and oversees all AV requirements for hundreds of programs, events and presentations hosted in the student union each year. He stays up to date with the rapid pace of technical innovations and ensures that AV equipment is compatible with a multitude of devices and operating systems. Daniel grew up in Boone and is an alum of Appalachian, where he earned a  Bachelor of Science in Communication-Broadcasting in 1994. Daniel started his career as an AV technician with Presentation Services, working in hotels and other venues in Asheville and Durham, North Carolina as well as freelancing in many other cities.
