Our digital signs reduce the need for excessive printing of posters, and offer a way for us to share environmental facts regarding our facility.
Sustainability Exhibit
This permanent display between the PSU and the Bookstore demonstrates Appalachian’s roots with sustainability.
Academic Classes
Professors in relevant disciplines bring their students to the PSU to study the photovoltaic system on the roof, and monitor the hot water usage of the facility.
Additional:
- The water bottle filling stations on each floor will have counters showing how many plastic bottles have been saved from the landfill as a result of students, faculty and staff using refillable bottles.
- Educational signs installed to increase awareness of sustainable options and choices found within the building
- Campus Sustainability bulletin board installed in International Hallway
