Plemmons Student Union

The Greenbriar Theater is a gracious gift from Mr. John McElwee of Wilkesboro, North Carolina.

Entering the Greenbriar Theater is like taking a step back in time to the Golden Age of American Cinema. At any given time, you can find original movie posters, lobby cards, original stills and behind-the-scenes photos in our custom-made oak display cases. We like to think of the Greenbriar as a mini-museum of American Cinema!

The Interior

Once inside the Greenbriar, you immediately notice how comfortable and inviting the interior is for patrons. The seats are covered in red leather, and each seat has its own private armrests. Dual cupholders make it easy to store snacks, and the reclining seatbacks make for a truly one-of-a-kind level of comfort for your movie-watching experience.
